ESO Beta this weekend

There is another ESO beta this weekend and they have encouraged us to do videos and screenshots. I will do as much as I can and try and get a PvP video done but there will be TONS of screenshots to keep this blog going until the launch of ESO. I am looking forward to this very much and I hope you guys are too. I know this blog is full of short posts but that will change very soon :)

Monday 24 February 2014

It is decided

So it has been officially decided. My race will be wood elf, my class will be Night Blade and my main weapon will be the bow.

I will be in game during the early access with 5 days but unfortunately my computer will not be here by then. It will be here in mid April and I will be streaming every Friday for StevezspotLive!

StevezspotLive will be a talk show on stream inspired by Blue Plz! hosted on WoW Radio. We will be streaming the game at the same time but I will begin to record the voice talk and upload it for Podcast.

My youtube will be filled with tons of content from guides to PvP videos and so on. My facebook will be similar to this page except that this blog is more personal and will have off topic posts. My facebook will remain on topic.

My secondary weapon will be decided while I play as I have no idea what I am going to use at this point in time.

Saturday 22 February 2014

NightBlade Archer

So my class choice is Night Blade and primary bows. However, I am still deciding what to do with my second weapon set. It will probably be dual daggers but I have to see. I don't have to decide this until I am playing after launch anyway.

Todays class decison

I am going to be spending most of today deciding what class I want to play in Elder Scrolls Online. Going to read up on them all and see which one I will enjoy the most. I am still going to be a primary Archer. Time to do a lot of thinking :)

Monday 17 February 2014

Base skills in Slyrim and second class choice.

So I have spent the last 2 days working on Smithing. Enchanting and Alchemy. I am nearly done since I have done Smithing and Enchanting. Currently working on Alchemy. I also have second thoughts about the Dragon Knight class with my Archer and I might just go with Shadow Blade. We'll have to see :)

Sunday 16 February 2014

Dawngard and my class choice.

I plan on doing the Dawngard story line today and as I am an archer, I plan on siding with them and not the vampires. I have also been thinking about my dragon knight class choice and I am slowly thinking it's a bad idea because I will have to add points into magicka as well as stamina which may be hard but we will see. I am still determined! :)

Saturday 15 February 2014

My reasons for my class and race choice.

Alright folks, so I will be playing a Woof Elf Dragon Knight Archer.

My reasons for this is my love for Archery. I have liked it since I was younger and it's just something I have a hidden passion for. I chose the Dragon Knight because I love Dragons and this combination will be quite rare I think. This gives me lots of flexibility in my play and lots of options.

Please note that this is not my class of choice for launch. I will be playing a Dragon Knight Archer.

Videos are uploading!!

ESO - My race and class choice.

So after a lot of thinking I decided to go ahead and play the Wood Elf Dragon Knight focusing on Archery. I love the combination and I think it will give me the most fun out of all the classes. I will be posting more and going into detail on this choice soon!

Skyrim - Legendary restart

So I wiped my drive of all Skyrim data and rolled up a Wood Elf archer on Legendary difficulty. It's hard. Really hard. To a point where I think I need to have followers haha. I will probably do some posts on this up until the launch of ESO.

I started off in Riverwood yesterday and chopped wood all morning until I have around 5.2k gold. I then went to Fendal who is the wood elf archer in Riverwood and I sided with him with the Sven quest. (You don't need to do that). What you can then do, is get archery training off him, then pickpocket the money back off him. It gave me free level 50 archery and level 60 pickpocket. So I invested 3 points into pickpocket to get the extra 100 carry space and the rest into archery to get the Power shot ability for a 50% chance to Stagger. It is NEEDED. I did Bleak Falls Barrows (BFB) before without it and it takes forever.

So with my new skills ready I did some crafting with the money and made a full set of leather gear and went to BFB. The guards at the watch tower were not too difficult but the bandits inside were hard. The spider boss was easy as you can just stand through the exit and range him down and the final boss was really hard and required A LOT of kiting.

Then I went to Whiterun, and currently heading out to beat that dragon.

In other news, my new computer should be here sometime in April. We are currently shooting for April 12th. Which means I will have to play ESO on my old computer for the first while but that is okay :)

ESO Beta - PvP

Okay, so this is a big topic for me. PvP is the most important thing in most games for me and I must say, that PvP in ESO is amazing. Being able to do PvP in the world of Cyrodill is just amazing. A region that I have spent countless hours in and the bases/keeps being real dungeons and forts that we have raided in the past is just amazing. But are these memories good enough to make a good PvP zone? Of course not, but they are an amazing bonus.

I don't fully understand how to do PvP or the tactics just yet, but my overall experience was amazing. There are 3 alliances in a 1v1v1 style match in competition for the emperor. PvP encounters can be anywhere from 1v1 to 500v500. I remember going up over a hill to see about 200 of the enemy faction just run over me. It was so amazing and I actually felt scared! It's so enjoyable!

There are a few things about the map though. It does not show all of your team in the area which is annoying and I have to zoom out every time I open it.

Other than that, I look forward to PvPing like crazy on launch! See you there!

ESO - Feedback form

Okay folks, I will do the PvP post later on before I go to bed. I spent a lot of time filling out their official feedback survey which took me ages. Filled out everything as best I could. A good one hour and a half. I shall do my own little PvP post this evening :)

ESO - Pve opinion

Okay, so PvE is alright. It was challenging which is the main thing. I only had time to do one dungeon and after 45 mins of trying to debug the group, we managed to start it. The huge difference in this game that I liked was that the group stuck together until the end.
The first parts of the dungeon were just like any games dungeons except the bosses did not feel like bosses. They just felt like larger trash mobs.
The real challenge came from the last boss who had hard mechanics to deal with to a point where you had to "roll" away from some abilities if you wanted to escape. This level of challenge at low level is exactly what is needed to make the higher content even harder and make the players feel like they are progressing.
Questing is simple enough, but unlike other games, I have to plan my moves on every NPC due to the risk of death or getting overwhelmed. Great for learning combination attacks that your character can learn. The questing was enjoyable. I skipped most of the dialog to stop spoilers however but they seem more story based than "go kill x boars".
Over all the PvE looks good in the game and I can see improvements that will be made. Looking forward to launch.

Sorry about this post being late, I fell asleep yesterday at 7pm. It's not 5:20am here. This post was the first thing I have done. I will make my PvP post in a few hours. I want to think about what I am going to say because it's going to probably be my biggest post yet. Then after that, i'll do a wrap up of the beta with suggestions and ideas, then we will go back to Skyrim and Oblivion until launch.

ESO Beta - Videos

I have 2 videos ready to go and looking to make the 3rd later on today once I get level 10 on my archer. I will put them up as soon as they lift the sharing restriction. Expect the long posts on my opinions tomorrow :)

Sunday 9 February 2014

ESO - Beta reviews soon.

Okay folks, having spent 7 hours in Cyrodill, I feel like I am slightly ready to do a review on my experience on Tuesday. I am going to do 2 main posts, one about the PvP and one about the PvE and leveling. My goal tomorrow is to get into a PvE dungeon and get some experience there. Since I did nothing but PvP today, I only reached level 11. So tomorrow, I am going to hit level 12 and get into PvE.

I have lots of screenshots taken, but until we are permitted I cannot show any gameplay because I want to keep to their ToS.

ESO Beta - PvP

This is the PvP map. Ever played Oblivion? Yeah, that's it. It's massive. Still learning how to play at the moment and will post information on how you play in this massive PvP landscape. As soon as I learn how to that is. :)

Saturday 8 February 2014

ESO Beta - Log in que

I said I would do a longer post today but that seems unlikely because of the fact that I have not been able to log in since 2pm haha. The log in ques are inscane! Hopefully I can get in before I go to bed tonight and at least put up some more content. :)

ESO Beta - Bugged quests

So I currently have 5 quests in my quest log and all of them are currently bugged so I am unable to progress my questing. So I am going to take a break from the game until it calms down :) Expect more detailed post this evening.

Future posts will be fixed!

Those posts were copy and pasted so the format was wrong, all future posts will be in theme with the blog :)

ESO Beta - First solo boss

While I cannot talk in detail about this, I thought i'd write up that I just fought a boss. Died about 5 times until I worked out how to do it. The feeling you get when you beat it is amazing. The game has challenge which is something the majority of MMOs lack these days. This is looking good! :)

ESO Beta - Day 2

Hey folks, so begins Day 2 of the beta and I am writing this post during the loading screen. The funny thing is, by the time I have finished this post, the loading screen will still not be done. There is a bit of an issue right now on their end, let's put it that way :)
So I had a bit of a fight last night with certain members of my LoL team. Minds just don't think alike and the disagreements start when people don't make any attempt to see your point of view and take theirs as gospel. But away from that stuff, the positive side is I may get more ESO time today!
Today's plans are to get level 10-12 and see what the content there is like. The goal for Monday at midnight like I said before is 20. So if I get 10-12 today, i'll be right on track! :)
I have changed the keybinds of my abilities around a little as I did not like them. Most people use WASD to move, but I personally use QWE. So 1,2,3,4,5,6 are not the best keybinds. So I changed mine to, QWE, 4,R,F,5,(Mouse scroll down). This to me makes a more fluid style of playing. My biggest problem was when I was running towards an enemy, the 2 button is very hard to press.
Right, i'll post again later! :)

The ESO Beta!

So it's my second time on the beta and overall, I am enjoying my new Dragon Knight, however, I can't wait until it is an imperial. Expect a long post about my second beta experience on Tuesday.
The big issue at the moment is loading screens. The log in time and loading screens are currently reaching upwards of 40 minutes which is insane! But beta is here to test all this stuff out of course. Due to a commitment to play in a LoL tournament tomorrow, my time with the beta tomorrow will be limited but I cannot wait until Sunday where I should be able to get a full day of playing.
The spell effects look great and I am really hoping to get level 20 before the beta ends. I want to experience one dungeon and one PvP battle.

ESO and a blog return!

Okay folks, I started up a blog on Wordpress but I decided to do it here. I already have a nice blog here from the past so I will copy and paste the posts from Wordpress to here and just continue as normal :) Blog will be updated to the current details next week.
